The Runner-UpI was pleasantly surprised with my most recent read;
"The Runner-Up" by Becca Wierwille
The author was able to craft a scenario of a young preteen, 'tweener' who struggles with her issues of 'not worthy of love, acceptance and abandonment' feelings.
I can relate personally to this young protagonist and I am sure there are many readers out there who could also identify as well!
What I really loved was the young girls courage to pursue and overcome her barriers to self acceptance. Without being a 'spoiler'.....I must add that there is one magical and caring person who connects the dots for a happy new beginning!
Bravo and kudos for the Author for reminding us that we have all we need 'inside' ourselves!

  OH! Christmas Tree...Real vs. Fake?! What is my carbon foot print...?? Recently, I was teaching my students about Real vs Fake Christmas trees and I was shocked!
